M45 Processing

Can I process only the blue channel fit files ofM45 with Siril 

for the final results of color image?

Hi Chatree,

 

Unfortunately you won't be able to make a colour image using just the blue filter. While the images may look similar from filter to filter, there are subtle differences that give the image it's final colour. However, there is a community of black and white astrophotographers that focus on B&W imaging (usually focusing on the Ha of nebulae!)

 

I'd say give B&W processing a go and share the results with us, it's a great way to start processing 🙂
