NGC 3532 by Astrophotography Volkssterrenwacht A Pien
Prize: 50 credits

Comment from the judges: In this image created by Alexander Reinartz the colours of the nebula and stars were well processed and made for a good contrast between the two. Some adjustment to background colour would work to improve the image and create better contrast between the nebulosity, background and stars.

🏆 Observation Bundle Contest Winners 🏆

The Observation Bundle for the August 2023 Contest is the HELIX NEBULA obtained with CHI-1-CMOS in the HSO filter set. It contains 11 One-Click Observations corresponding to more than 9 hours of total exposure time.

NGC7293 - HELIX NEBULA by Tomas Samek
Prize: 75 credits

Comment from the judges: There were a lot of good entries for the Helix nebula this month. This image by Tomas Samek processed the details in the nebulosity very well with a good choice of colour palette.

NGC 7293 - HELIX NEBULA by Rouven Asmußen
Prize: 100 credits

Comment from the judges: Our winning expert bundle image processing was by Rouven Asmußen, with a great colour selection and processing of the finer details of the nebula. While not oversharpened, a slight boost to the sharpening may help to enhance those details further.

Let’s give a round of applause to all the winners who will enjoy the honours and the prizes!
