Richard Bostock
I don't know if this is the right place to post this; but this is my first day on Telescope Live, and my first attempt at post-processing. I installed Siril so I could try it for free, and downloaded a few image bundles under the free trial. I'm using the scripts for Siril, and following the instructions in the tutorials. So far, the Carina Nebula and M8 turned out great, but M1 and the Whirlpool Galaxy have hot pixel clumps all over the place. I can't find any way to remove them in Siril. I included Carina and M8 just to prove that it's not me or my computer... because the same process was followed in all of these. Any advice on removing the lines and hot pixel clumps? Are they just from bad frames in the image packs?
Alexander Curry
How many frames are you stacking? These usually occur with a low integration number Edit: I see you mention you’re using a bundle. This could be older CCD data (I noticed the column) I can see if I can modify the script to be less tolerant of hot pixels
