Liam Quinn
Hi - since raw subs from here are not immediately accessible from PixInsight (you need to open and save in Siril first) is it possible to select a folder location to do a batch convert ? Or is the only option el classico 1 by 1?
Alexander Curry
Hi Liam, I will see if I can write a script for this and I'll post it here
Alexander Curry
Here's a script to convert everything in a folder named "Raw" to be readable by PI Make sure this Raw folder is in your working directory, you can set this using the house icon on the top left of the screen: After running the script you'll have a folder named "Converted". This will remove all the names of the frames, but all the details in the FITS headers remain unchanged anyway so it won't affect anything. If you want to keep the names you can just work in batches, Ha then OIII etc. For more information on the other scripts/installing there is a pinned thread in the SIRIL forum: If you have any issues let me know telescope.live_Batch_Convert.ssf 1
Stephen Wright
Hi Alexander, Discovering issues with the 'automatically calibrated' OIII and SII image files for the Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635), I downloaded the uncalibrated frames, along with the associated calibration files. Then I discovered that these are 'raw' files that PI can't read. That lead me to Siril. I confirmed that Siril could open these files and that, one at a time, they can be saved as a fit file that PI can read. Looking for a batch procedure, I found this thread (yippee!). I downloaded your script, put it in a newly created scripts folder, and found that Siril did find it! I put a bunch of files in a desktop folder called 'Raw' (btw, I'm running Siril on a Mac). I clicked on the script, got a little dialog box that included 'run script.' I clicked on that and... as far as I can tell, nothing happened - no folder called 'Converted.' Got any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? I hate to think I'm going to have to convert 100+ files, one at a time.... Cheers - Steve

Cheers - Steve Hi Steve, Your workflow seems spot on, however I noticed you haven't set your working directory. This button will allow you to set your working directory (it's located at the top left of the interface) and your Raw (please make sure the folder has a capital R) folder should be inside this working directory. After that you should see some information in the console on the right half of the interface - if you have any errors please let me know 🙂 Kind regards Alex
