Mentore Giorgetti
Astrophotography can look very daunting at a first glance. However, with Telescope Live and the users in this forum, we’re sure that you’ll be processing your first image in no time. We have actually created a complete step-by-step guide to processing your first astrophotography image using SIRIL (the only free and open source software dedicated to astrophotography available on the market) on the Telescope Live tutorials platform. This tutorial series, called “The Ultimate Astrophotography Toolkit for Beginners”, is completely free and accessible to everyone (even to those who don’t have a Telescope Live account) and will provide you with all the information you need. You can watch it by clicking here. We can recommend SIRIL as your first astrophotography processing software as it’s an intuitive and easy to use software that will give you the basic understanding of post-processing and allow you to familiarize yourself with much of the jargon (click here to read the post dedicated to astrophotography and astronomy jargon, acronyms and abbreviations)
Irving Dunn
It is hard to imagine that any astro processing package could be easier and better than Affinity Photo for stacking and editing. IMHO
