Tutorials keep stopping

Recommended Posts

I am trying to watch Adam Block's interview of Russ Croman (about BlurXterminator). It randomly stops and buffers after a couple of minutes. I have a 0.5Gbps internet connection that seems to be working fine everywhere else.

I generally find Telescope Live's web site to be slow, at the best of times, but this morning it seems worse than usual.

Hi Christopher,

I just tried to watch the very same tutorial and it was OK for me (and I was using a very slow internet connection). I watched about 15 minutes and there was no interruption.

Can I ask you please what browser are you using to watch the tutorials and navigate the website?

Clear Skies,

Ernesto

I'm using Safari on Intel iMac (latest Sonoma)

I sometimes get this message:

Quote
The application did not respond in time.

but most often it just takes a very long time to do anything or a video stalls into buffering without an error message. Not noticing this problem with any other sites.

I don't know if this helps, but loading most pages on Telescope Live produces a javascript console full of errors. e.g. when loading my dashboard

[Error] Origin https://app.telescope.live is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. Status code: 500
[Error] XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://telescope.live/api/v1/blog-latest due to access control checks.

There are also resource did not load errors related to google analytics - Safari is set to block trackers

The site is much faster and more responsive and throws fewer errors in the console if I turn off "cross-origin restrictions" - that's a developer only setting and really not a good idea.

I was able to find a couple of deep settings in the "testing new features" settings in Safari which Apple says are stable, but they may not be. With these off and the cross-origin restrictions set back on the site is at least usable for me.

Yes, there are a couple of known issue using SAFARI with our platform (that's the reason why I asked about your browser). So thanks for these tips that can be useful for other SAFARI users.
