Hello to you all, my name is Neil McAllister. I've had a passion for astronomy going back to watching the Apollo moon landings.In the past I've been a member of the Liverpool astronomical society and with them I went on two solar eclipse trips.Firstly in 1983 to Java and secondly in 1991 to Hawaii. I lived and worked in Liverpool until I retired from the fire service in 2009 and I am now married and living in Johannesburg.Having lived all my life near cities has made astronomy difficult to say the least,apart from one year after I retired when I lived in rural Malawi where the night skies were stunning.Telescope Live has rekindled my passion for astronomy and it now has become and obsession again.Thank you.
